これは野山へ持って行くために製作した９MHｚ IFのシングルスーパ機。９MHｚのCohnフィルタの通過特性が暴れるので、最終的には帯域特性のフラットなQER型Ｘ‘ｔａｌフィルタに変更してある。このトランシーバにはフォトカプラーを使ったセミブレークイン回路を付けたので、CW運用はとても快適である。また、トグルS/Wで出力０．６Wか３０ｍWかを瞬時に選べるようにしてある。実際に山頂からの移動運用では３０ｍW/QRPPPでも相当DXができることを何度も経験した。欠点は受信ＡＧＣで、ＦＥＴ２段のＩＦアンプでは十分なマージンを取ることはなかなか困難であった。

This is a single conversion 50MHz transceiver consisted of VXO and 9MHz
for our portable operation on the hilltop and in the field. A semi-break
in circuit using a photo coupler was put on this transceiver, so the CW
use is very comfortable. It is easy to choose output 0.6W or 30mW to turn
the toggle switch in an instant. Actually, from a mountain top, I experienced
considerable DX with 30mW/QRPPP, several times. The weak point of this
set is AGC. It was difficult to get enough margin with the two stage FET
IF amplifier. The 9MHz crystal filter was finally changed to QER design
from traditional Cohn ladder filter.
